Specialists in Poison Information
The Michigan Poison & Drug Information Center (MiPDC) is hiring Specialists in Poison Information (SPI) for afternoon and overnight shifts.
A SPI provides telephone consultations, evaluates possible poisonings, and recommends appropriate toxicologic patient management to the public and health care professionals. SPIs also serve as an integral resource for the general public, law enforcement, health departments, and health care professionals.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred), ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred), or accredited medical school with a degree in either allopathic (MD) or osteopathic (DO) medicine.
