National Carbon Monoxide Awareness Association
Carbon monoxide, more commonly referred to as CO, is a highly toxic gas, produced by devices that burn fuels – often found in our everyday lives. Carbon monoxide can’t be seen, smelled, or heard, but can be extremely dangerous to humans. Carbon monoxide is only detectable with an electronic carbon monoxide sensor.

MIPrevention
MI Prevention has been installing smoke alarms and CO Detectors since 2018 across the State of Michigan. MI Prevention works with local fire departments to supply smoke alarms for installation, if you need a smoke alarm, we encourage you to contact your local fire department.

Michigan Rattler: Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake
Many people do not know that the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake is native to our state. Also known as the Michigan Rattler or Swamp Rattler, it is the only venomous snake native to this region. Most people living in our state will never see this shy creature. Carbon Monoxide Awareness & Prevention

Experts at your local poison center can provide education and more resources available through our public safety partners.
